What's in store this pram race day - Monday 26 May
The Race
The race begins at 1200 from the Royal Oak (the Dicky!) finishing at the Cricket Club with stops at the Hare & Hounds, the Carriers Arms and Oranges & Lemons. You run the route having half a pint at each stop (collecting a token). The theme is Broadway! And all funds raised are for charity.
How to enter
Simply contact one of the venues taking part and let them know you wish to run. You need three people - two runners and a 'baby' (who needs to be 18+ as they do the drinking!) . It costs just £10 per team. You need to fill out a simple form - either from the pub or see below.
Entertainment
Pram Race Day is just that. It's a day of entertainment long after the race has finished. All pubs will be busy - even Oranges & Lemons is serving beers and wine! The cricket club will have live entertainment all afternoon (see below) plus a bouncy castle to keep the kids busy. The pubs will be doing lots of other things.
Food
Again, all the pubs will be serving food. At the Cricket Club, we are doing a BBQ between 1pm and 3pn and will be inviting ice cream vans and other food trucks to come along.
